Intergenerational Dis/connections
Stories from previous generations tether families to identity, place, and belonging. However, with distance growing and road trips dwindling, how do families stay together when our elders are gone?

Intergenerational Dis/Connections, a vehicular exhibit, uses I-95 to explore intergenerational relationship loss between family, land, and legacy while making sense of present and future generations’ own personal journeys of dis/connection from those anchors.
Through a collection of five multimedia clips, I curated a vehicular and digital exhibit that shares memories of my family's roadtrips for participants to listen to and discuss amongst themselves in a road trip format. All participants left with a goodie bad of ol' time road trip snacks, traditional to the South.
